Anne E. White named Chief Operating Officer and VP of Clinical Operations of Tigris Pharmaceuticals
NEW YORK, August 31, 2005 - Tigris Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a development stage biopharmaceutical company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne E. White as its Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Clinical Operations. Ms. White brings 15 years of drug development experience in oncology, infectious disease, and neuroscience.

Prior to joining Tigris, Ms. White worked at Eli Lilly and Company since 1990, where she most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Global Oncology Platform. In her most recent position at Lilly Oncology, Ms. White was responsible for the clinical development of three oncology molecules, both pre- and post-registration. During Ms. White's tenure, Lilly Oncology submitted 9 major applications in the US, EU and Japan and initiated over 100 clinical studies globally. Ms. White was also named Lilly's Women's Network Award Winner in 2005.
Prior to her oncology leadership role, Ms. White acted as Chief Operating Officer for the Infectious Diseases Product Team at Eli Lilly. In this position, Ms. White was responsible for the clinical development program, in partnership with a global Contract Research Organization, and the subsequent out-licensing of oritavancin, a compound for the treatment of skin structure infections and bacteremia. Ms. White's earlier roles in Lilly were in the neuroscience platform, where she was responsible for clinical operations for several key Lilly molecules, including Prozac. Also while at Lilly, Ms. White was responsible for several major efficiency improvement efforts, resulting in significant positive impact to Lilly's clinical development teams.
